Presentation Projector Care Tips

Properly caring for your projector is the easiest way to ensure that it lasts and lasts and performs flawlessly when you need it. Some simple steps that you can take include:

  • Take the time to thoroughly read your owner's/user's manual that came with your presentation projector. Model-specific information for your projector can be found there which may include special care instructions for your particular make and model.
  • Familiarize yourself with your projector and all of its features before using it in a presentation for the first time. This will help make your presentation flow smoothly and effortlessly.
  • Clean filters every 3 - 6 months, depending on frequency of use. Replace filters according to the schedule specified in your owner's manual.
  • Store your presentation projector in a cool, dry place. Excessive heat and moisture can cause extreme damage to your projector and is not covered under most manufacturers' warranties.
  • If you find you need to ship your projector, ensure safe, secure packaging and we would recommend insuring the shipment. It is always a good idea to save the original packaging for situations such as this as well as everyday storage.
  • Clean your presentaion projector's lens regularly with a lens cloth. This will guarantee the best image quality and can be purchased at most camera stores.
  • Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for projector placement near walls and ceilings. It is recommended to keep your presentation projector at least 2 feet, unless otherwise specified, from walls, ceilings, or enclosed compartment walls.
  • Always use the air filter. Operation without the air filter allows the projector to draw in dust, smoke, and other particles in the air that can cause damage to your projector.
  • Feel free to reference our tips to extend the lamp life of your projector for more care tips to get the most out of your projector bulbs and your investment.
